2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback Review, Diesel, Price

This time Chevrolet has gone for some change in plans which have led to the unveiling of the 2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback at the Detroit Auto show earlier this year.

2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback – Design Specifications

From the front, it is that usual sedan. With bi-xenon headlamps as standard Chevrolet has decided to wrap them with daytime running LED lights. It has opted for that standard crossbar grille design that houses a large air intake in the center. Front bumper houses a couple of large rounded fog lamps which has been a cult with the Chevy Cruze Hatchback 2018.

From the rear, the only difference is the missing boot. Other than that, GM has retained most of the design traits from its sedan. New Chevy Cruze Hatchback 2018 comes as a 4 door car and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-season tires.

Designing traits of the sedan have been carried forward to the interiors as well. Passengers are treated to leather upholstered seats and steering which come with heating functionalities. Infotainment includes a 7 inch diagonal LCD screen connected to 6 speaker surround sound system. Other noteworthy features include Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple Car Play.

Safety features:

Standard safety features cover this hatchback. These include Lane keep Assist, Low tire pressure monitoring system, Cross traffic alert and rear park assist. In addition to this basic features include all-round airbags and ABS.

2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback – Engine Options

Under the hood, expect this car to sport a 1.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine that will 153 hp. Chevy is looking to boost fuel efficiency which will be around 40 mpg on highways and 34 mpg in cities. 0 -60 mph will come in under 8 seconds while top speed is yet to be disclosed.
