The 2018 Buick LaCrosse has been a name in itself for luxury sedan lovers. It started as a midsize luxury car in 2005. With some facelifts, LaCrosse entered its second generation in 2010. It used to be built on P2XX platform like that of Chevrolet Impala. LaCrosse has been popular in Canada too under the name Buick Allure and in Korea as Alpheon. In its third generation, will make a comeback as 2018 Buick LaCrosse.

The all new Buick LaCrosse will also see some design overhaul. Buick’s new Epsilon II platform is most likely to be used. The iconic waterfall grille takes the prime spot on the front grille. It will feature Buick’s tri-color emblem in red, white and blue shading, both on the front grille and the tailgate. Buick has brought back this feature after quite a long time. Front bumpers have long horizontal air vents.

The long luxury sedan will have 18-inch wheels with an option for 20-inch wheels. Hence, the 2018 Buick LaCrosse promises a smooth comfortable drive courtesy its advanced HiPer Strut suspension. Also, this technology has continuous damping control which readjusts the dampers very two nanoseconds.

A 2.5-litre DOHC V6 engine will power the LaCrosse. It has a maximum power output of 305 hp and torque of 268 lb-ft. It has the standard stop-start feature. Destined for a more fuel efficient performance the engine will come with a feature of cylinder deactivation while in idle mode. 31 mpg highway efficiency is expected of the car.  It is also packed with an 8-speed transmission forward wheel drive which has a new fly-by-wire system called Electronic Precision System. All-wheel drive will be an option.

2018 Buick LaCrosse – Expected Price and Release Date

The all-new 2018 Buick LaCrosse will have a late 2017 launch by industry estimates. The luxury sedan will be available in four new colors of Satin Steel Metallic, BlackBerry Metallic, Dark Slate Metallic and also Red Quartz Tintcoat and have a price range of $33,000 to $44,000.
