Reliable reports suggest that the automaker is working on a top end hybrid variant, going by the name Escape Energi, which will act as a perfect replacement for the current C-MAX Energi.

The upcoming 2019 Ford Escape has been spotted undergoing testing in Michigan. It adopts the C1 platform, which is also featured in Ford Focus. It features a wider and longer chassis than its predecessors.

The wheelbase also gets longer with a wider track width. With larger body dimensions, the new Ford Escape appears more crossover than before. Consumers should expect a mildly redesigned fascia, characterized by the trapezoidal grille and new wraparound LED headlamps, giving it a fresh appearance.

Going by the spy shots taken during its testing, the new Escape will continue with its impressive athletic styling. It gets a new roof-line as well as new 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Among the standard exterior features are power-adjustable side mirrors, power-lift gate, rear parking sensors and others.

The model comes with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive system (AWD). There are also rumors that Ford is going to introduce a hybrid powertrain for the 2019 Ford Escape model.

2019 Ford Escape Expected Release Date and Price

The upcoming Ford Escape should go on sale in the mid-2018 as 2019 model. In the European markets comes with name Kuga. The base price will likely be close to the current model’s which range from around $24,000.
